Praying

with us

Praying is both as easy as breathing and something we need to work at all our life.

Below are some resources to help you, both in your private prayer and in your common worship life with us.

Daily Prayer

The Digital candle is a WhatsApp group that sends a prayer and a short reading to your phone each day.

Sunday Worship

Season by season we’re producing a new order of service and seeing what you think. You can down load this season’s service below, if you want to make it easier for you to use, or if you simply want to go through it at home.

We have a slightly different service in the Chiddingstone Churches from in Penshurst and Fordcombe.

Our Sunday worship is going through a two year review period

This edition of the order of service includes most of the text you will hear - although week by week the person leading the service might use slightly different prayers, so they can better match the readings or theme.

It also has more comprehensive directions, or ‘rubrics’ so that you know when to sit or stand, and whether something is likely to be sung.

For Eastertide, the reflective passage before the time of penitence is the Beatitudes.
